Get a First Look at the (Now Delayed) Upcoming Trackmania Game
Sad news for physics-defying racing fans. Trackmania, the upcoming remake of Trackmania Nations has been officially delayed from 5th May to 1st July—yet another instance of COVID-19 stunting the game development process. To tide fans over, Ubisoft Nadeo has released a gameplay trailer (shown above) full of flashy vehicles, impossible courses and daring stunts.
This isn't the first time Trackmania has suffered from the Coronavirus pandemic: the ZrT Cup, Trackmania's biggest international competition, has already faced postponement because of enforced social distancing and a suite of associated logistical issues. Now, with the delay of the upcoming Trackmania, it's hard to not feel sympathetic towards Ubioft Nadeo and all struggling developers right now. From single-desk development teams to AAA worldwide studios, everyone's feeling the sting of COVID-19.

With that aside, Trackmania is making a valiant attempt to reinvigorate its fanbase and foster a competitive esports scene. With daily track selections, a robust track creation options, fleshed-out progression systems and a serious focus on the glorious mayhem of the series' multiplayer, this remake is better described as a full-on reboot.
Trackmania releases on the Epic Games Store and Uplay on 1st July. Check out the gameplay trailer above.
