Ghostrunner Keeps Moving Forward With Free Updates and Paid DLC

Breakneck parkour action game Ghostrunner continues its post-release support with a feature-packed free update and paid cosmetic DLC across all platforms. The pair of updates has released alongside an overview trailer. Check it out above.

The DLC, costing £3.99, contains the following items, released in celebration of the Year of the Ox:

  • The Rite Sword and Glove Set
  • The Benevolence Sword and Glove Set
  • The Justice Sword and Glove Set
  • The Integrity Sword and Glove Set

Headlining the free update are two new game modes, 'Kill Run Mode' and 'Photo Mode'. The first is a checkpoint-based time trial, seeing players running, jumping, slashing and sliding to reach checkpoints in as little time as possible. The second is... well, simply a photo mode, letting players pause and tweak reality to capture the perfect snaps of Ghostrunner's stylised cyberpunk world.

In addition, console players will enjoy the benefit of aim-assist for the grappling hook. PlayStation 4 Pro players will also be able to make use of a new, frame rate-boosting Performance Mode feature. Finally, the update reduces system latency on PCs with NVIDIA Reflex-compatible graphics cards.

Ghostrunner is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Amazon Luna and PC. It will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2021, with free upgrades coming later this year for existing owners of the previous generation version.
