Glen Picks Some of His Favourites in the Latest Humble Bundle

Glen Picks Some of His Favourites in the Latest Humble Bundle

Coming from the Goidelic languages, a glen (noun \ˈglen\) is a kind of valley, usually U-shaped and considered to be notably deep. They are very common in Scotland and Ireland, especially in the Highlands of Scotland. Glen is also the name of one of the staff at Humble, and it is that Glen who is the focal point of the latest bundle from the aforementioned bundling company. He is also a gargoyle.

Despite being a humble stone statue, it turns out that Glen is actually a pretty keen gamer. Not just a keen one, but one with prety good taste too, which he's sharing with us. OK, so we know that the bundle was probably picked by a collaboration of the Humble staff and attributed to the statue, but we think it's a cute little back story so we ran with it.

Anyway, what does "Glen" have for us? Well, it's quite a selection actually. As always, the bundle is split into three tiers. Buying the bundle at $1 or more gets you:

  • Ultimate General: Gettysburg
  • Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons
  • Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
  • and a coupon for 10% off Humble Monthly for new subscribers

Spend a little more to beat the average ($6.35 at the time of writing) and get:

  • GRAV (Early Access)
  • Victor Vran
  • Tropico 5
  • additional, as yet unrevealed games. (These will be revealed on Tuesday)

The third and final tier costs $12 (or more if you like) and will also get you the Homeworld Remastered Collection. This collects together the classic and remastered versions of both Homeworld 1 and Homeworld 2.

The money, like you expect from Humble, is split between the developers, Humble themselves and charitable organisations. The charities this month are the Khan Academy, who aim to provide education to those who would otherwise be deprived, and the National Videogame Museum, who are protecting and conserving the history of our beloved hobby.

I want GRAV, but... Nothing else... Not worth it for me.
