Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Shows Off Necropolis Faction Update in Full Reveal Trailer

Unfrozen and Hooded Horse's upcoming Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is a highly anticipated 2026 release. By the publisher who brought players Manor Lords — a highly successful 2024 launch — comes the modernisation of the Heroes of Might and Magic franchise.

This new take on the modern gameplay is no small title — it's accrued well over 100,000 Followers, and it sits comfortably as Steam's top 12th most-wishlisted title, with just Fable and Unrecordstopping it from the Top 10 spot. It received a demo for the final Steam Next Fest of 2025, which launched in October, where players got the opportunity to try it out first-hand for free.

The latest trailer for the title features the Necropolis Faction, one of the first players got a look at back in 2024. After feedback and much information from players, the team has reworked the faction entirely, creating new visuals, working on some of the elements, and making some highly praised changes.

The lengthy 10-minute reveal showcases a lot of the units that players can expect to recruit in the 4x title, all while showing off the heroes, some gameplay elements, and more. It's a pretty great look at what's to come, and a comprehensive one with an in-depth look at stats, characters, and a whole lot more.

If you're interested in checking out the title, don't miss out on the 10-minute video above! Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is set to launch sometime in 2026, but you can try it for free in the Steam Next Fest demo, which is still available at the time of writing.
