In the recent Hi-Rez Showcase event, the independent studio announced a full year of content updates for its three top free-to-play titles in 2021. Are you a Paladins player? A Rogue Company regular? Perhaps you're smitten with SMITE? Whichever free-to-play Hi-Rez Studios title you're into, you've got some updates to look forward to.
2021 will see the launch of Season 8: Dawn of Babylon for the mythology-themed MOBA. As well as new battle passes, the season will bring new Gods—Tiamat and Gilgamesh—and, for the first time in three years, an all-new Conquest map which it calls "an all-new evolving Babylonian pantheon".
The team-based shooter will launch its fourth season, Calamity, in 2021. Throughout it, you can expect event passes, quality-of-life updates, limited-time events and even more champions added to the game. The first will be the long-anticipated Yagorath, a being devoted to consuming all. Yes... you heard that right: "all".
As its newest title, Hi-Rez Studios is going all-out in supporting this fast objective-based third-person shooter with four seasons of content planned for 2021. Each one will bring new Rogues, maps, events and more. Already announced is the Rogue Kestrel and the Map Hollows.
2021 looks to be a busy year for Hi-Rez Studios, then. Good news if you're a devoted player of any of the company's games. Expect more updates on each one of these three titles as the year continues and the release of each content update draws nearer.
