High On Life's New Trailer Teases First DLC
After becoming “the biggest Xbox Game Pass release of 2022,” it’s only fitting that High On Life is getting a new spooky DLC, High On Knife, to further its reign as a hit single-player game. Announced in a brand-new teaser trailer linked above, High On Knife is bringing players to a new planet teeming with all-new characters, hazards, and spooky surprises.
As seen in the trailer, Squanch Games is leaning more into horror-comedy as it puts players up against a powerful foe known as Bloat, a goopy monster which hunts you in the dark. At the end of the teaser, Knifey (your talking knife) apologies profusely for “dragging you all into this” — though it's a mystery what Knifey’s role in this mess is exactly. And joining you on this weird journey are two new talking guns: Harper, an ex-military pistol, and B.A.L.L., a pinball gun operated by “a chaotic gaggle of little gibberish-speaking weirdos,” says Mikey Spano, Squanch Games' Chief Creative Officer.
There’s still more to learn about High On Knife’s gameplay elements, such as Knifey’s new hyper-violent upgrade and other surprises. Stay tuned and check out High On Life on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store; Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One; and Xbox Game Pass on console, PC, and cloud.
High On Knife is set to release sometime this fall.
