Homeworld Remastered Collector's Edition Available to Pre-order on Amazon

Although the date says 31st December, it is just a placeholder date until the game is finished and ready for distribution, let us just state outright. Amazon always put it as the last day of the year when release dates haven't been announced.

Now, the Homeworld Remastered Collector's Edition is up on Amazon to give people an idea of what to eagerly wait for. It will come with a digital download for the game, not a physical copy, as well as the following:

• An exclusive Pride of Hiigara Mothership replica, over 13"tall on an iconic Guidestone Replica base. Beautifully and meticulously crafted with hand-painted detail. Comes to life with USB-powered LEDs illuminating the ship's engines, ports and bays.
• A revised Historical Briefings and Artwork book includes the backstory of the Homeworld universe, some newly uncovered details from the game's creators plus a dazzling collection of original concept art by Rob Cunningham and Aaron Kambeitz.
• A die-cast Angel Moon Homeworld keychain.

The game is being touted as much more than a re-release for current systems, like what Night Dive Studios does. Both Homeworld and Homeworld 2 have been rebuilt using completely new models and textures, only reusing some of the sounds of the originals. It also includes the original versions however, in case nostalgia takes you. There will also be a centralised multiplayer, rather than having a multiplayer for both games separately.
