Hordes of Hunger Has a Release Date Set with a New Trailer!

Hordes of Hunger, the 3D action Survivorslike developed by Polish indie developer Hyperstrange, and published by Kwalee has a release date. With a survivorslike progression, this is a roguelite arena-slasher where you'll have to battle waves of monsters in relentless assaults.

Playing as the fearless warrior, Mirah, she'll be battling against malevolent evils and monstrous hordes as she defends her home from the eponymous Hordes of Hunger. Wielding powerful weapons and abilities, she'll need to work to save others from the hordes. Amongst those Mirah will be saving are a father racked with guilt, a prisoner shunning freedom, and a mother covered in blood. So, she'll need to complete missions to save others and uncover the true nature of the curse that plagues her home.

But where did these monsters come from? They emerged from the sea with the goal of stripping the land of life. You'll have to adjust Mirah's loadouts from a range of weapons and special attacks, gaining new abilities with each run. Complete your quests to rescue as many as you can, whilst gaining resources and uncovering the origins of the Hordes of Hunger.

You'll need to craft your build with different weapons and special attacks, including swords and hammers. You'll need to use the environment to your advantage, whether you're fighting from the castle or the village remains. As you level-up, you'll gain more destructive and defensive abilities, you'll have blazing swords, the power to summon lightning, and the ability to use divine contracts to defy death.

With a mixture of fast-paced third-person hack and slash combat, there will be an evolving narrative with high production values to look forward to. So, why not try it out for yourself? The Hordes of Hunger demo is already available on Steam, giving you access to expanded skill trees, weapon upgrades, and character progression. Then, decide for yourself if you want to play it when it releases in Early Access on 6th May.
