How to Get Zaahen, the Unsundered For Free in League of Legends

Riot Games has had a new approach to League of Legends champion acquisition after player progression was skewed and Blue Essence became more limited. With over 170 champions in the game, getting them all is a hassle, and new ones coming every few months hasn't helped the case for newcomers trying to catch up.

To this end, Riot Games started offering new ways for players to unlock champions: by completing quests associated with them and getting their permanent shard. First offered with Mel during the Welcome to Noxus season and then with Yunara during Spirit Blossom Beyond, now Zaahen continues the trend.

For those who don't want to spend 3150 Blue Essence on Zaahen, the Unsundered, or — Targon forbid — 975 RP, you'll be able to get him through his event, available since his launch on the 19th of November. The questlog section has all sorts of missions waiting to be completed, and his new requirements are now available.

Hit enemy champions 1,000 times with Attacks and Abilities

The quest itself doesn't have an end date, but it's best to assume that it'll be available only during Patch 25.23, until the next one launches on the 3rd of December 2025.
