The tweet was a single sentence, confirming that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is “Steam Deck Verified”, but anyone familiar with Rift Apart’s absolutely phenomenal visuals and smooth gameplay is right to wonder how it all might translate to the Deck.

So, what goes into Steam Deck compatibility? There are four possible badges a game could have: Verified, Playable, Unsupported, or Unknown. Rift Apart sports the bright green checkmark on its page, meaning that it’s Verified and Steam states that it achieves the following:

• All functionality is accessible when using the default controller configuration
• This game shows Steam Deck controller icons
• In-game interface text is legible on Steam Deck
• This game’s default graphics configuration performs well on Steam Deck
