Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel Brings Cooperative Play in New Free Update

Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel released on the 3rd of September 2025, bringing a mixture of Nordic myth to the Vampire Survivors–created genre, bullet heaven. Players become god-like warriors with the boons of Viking gods, and the latest update will upgrade that gameplay element into one of the most highly requested features in the genre.

Ever since Vampire Survivors launched, it was praised for its dopamine-chasing gameplay elements, and many wanted it to include friends as well. The multiplayer co-op update was an oft-requested feature, allowing players to experience the mayhem alongside up to three other players — since then, this has become almost a staple of bullet heavens.

Now, Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel is inviting players to enjoy the experience alongside a friend. The brand-new free update launched alongside the latest DLC invites players to enjoy the gameplay in two-player shared runs, offering split-screen gameplay where each player will be able to pick their characters, upgrades, and more.

Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel's co-op update is available now as of the 9th of April 2026.
