Kalypso Media to Publish Daedalic Entertainment’s Upcoming Strategy Titles on Consoles

Thanks to a deal between Kalypso and Daedalic, we will soon be seeing some classic strategy series on consoles. With Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun (Q2 2017), Valhalla Hills – Definitive Edition (Early 2017) and Blackguards 2 (Q2 2017) all set to launch on console, gamers will have no shortage of quality titles to choose from in 2017.

As a partner, Kalypso Media will be responsible for both the marketing and the physical and digital distribution of Valhalla Hills – Definitive Edition and Blackguards 2. With Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, Kalypso Media will assume responsibility for the retail sales.

"With our expertise in the distribution and marketing of strategy games on consoles, especially on an international scale, Kalypso Media is in an ideal position to provide Daedalic’s high-quality games with such visibility, through our publishing offices in Germany, the UK and the US, which between them serve all core markets worldwide. And we also provide excellent support for our own portfolio on consoles," says Simon Hellwig, founder and global managing director of Kalypso Media Group GmbH.

Carsten Fichtelmann, CEO and founder of Daedalic, added. "We will develop our best upcoming games for the most popular consoles, and with Kalypso Media we have found a partner with strong expertise when it comes to strategy game publishing on console, and who will enable us to take our titles to the international market. We look forward to working with Kalypso and bringing our premium titles Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, Valhalla Hills and Blackguards 2 to console gamers around the world."
