Kao the Kangaroo Raises $3500+ for Australian Bushfire Relief
Tate Multimedia's #Kao4Australia campaign has come to an end. The initiative, which saw the company pledge to donate 100% of the proceeds from sales of Kao the Kangaroo: Round 2 to Australian bushfire relief, has ultimately raised $3715 for WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.). Across the ten day-long campaign, 542 copies of the game were sold. Not bad for a relatively obscure 3D platformer from 20 years ago.
Tate Multimedia released the following statement thanking those who supported the campaign:
"We would like to thank everyone, who contributed to our #Kao4Australia initiative. To everyone who within the 9th and 19th of January, 2020 has bought the Kao the Kangaroo: Round 2, as well as who helped us spread the word and hashtag #Kao4Australia - we are sending lots of love."
"We hope that this humble donation will help to build upon the better future of Australia."
