League of Legends Patch 26.14 Notes Overview — Buffs, Nerfs, and More

League of Legends Patch 26.14 Notes Overview — Buffs, Nerfs, and More

Every two weeks (most of the time — there are times Riot Games takes some time off), we get an update to League of Legends that changes the balance of the game. This includes nerfs, buffs, and more for players who are engaging in the nitty-gritty of the game.

We'll be doing an overview of these rather than an in-depth look at each of the changes. We're hoping to give a quick digest for the content, and ensure we're leaving the specifics to Riot Games.

Buffs

Here are the four champions that Riot Games buffed for Patch 26.14!

  • Corki
  • Mordekaiser
  • Nami
  • Yunara

Nerfs

Five champions were nerfed for Patch 26.14!

  • Garen Top (Iron to Diamond 2)
  • Jayce Top (Pro leagues)
  • Locke Mid (All roles)
  • Senna Bot (All roles)
  • Seraphine Bot (All roles)

Adjusted

Adjustments are minor reworks that champions get, which can drastically change their gameplay. They're not always outright buffs and nerfs, so it's always important to go more in-depth with there.

Azir has been struggling as a champion for a while, and Riot Games wanted to ensure that this wouldn't be the case. Now, in this latest adjustment, they're hoping to bring him back as the emperor of Shurima that he's supposed to be.

His main ability, W - Arise!, will now do the following three effects:

  • On-hit items Scorch, Liandry's Torment, Blackfire Torch, and Hextech Alternator now deal 100% of their damage on-hit rather than 50% of it.
  • Conqueror stacks applied by W - Arise! will now apply two stacks instead of 1.
  • Azir's W - Arise! can now trigger Press the Attack on-hit.

Item

Three items were nerfed for Patch 26.14. We separate these from the nerfs and buffs, as we feel it can be a significant change outside of champion ones, due to the number of characters and playstyles that can be affected by these. Here are the affected items:

  • Immortal Path (Nerf)
  • Protoplasm Harness (Nerf)
  • Hextech Rocketbelt (Nerf)

Systems

There was a small change to the Blue Buff, as mana wasn't being nearly as impactful as Riot Games wanted it to be. Due to this, it's receiving a bit of a buff, where it'll now give increasing ability haste at specific levels (10 / 15 / 20 at 1 / 6 / 11, respectively).

The developer hopes that this should increase its importance and make it more impactful, without necessarily forcing changes to the way mana has been built over the years.
