League of Legends Releases Lunar Revel 2026 Cinematic

Every once in a while, Riot Games takes a break from its side job of 200 years of videogame experience indie development to dabble in its true art: music and cinematics. With the 2026 Season 1 Act 1: For Demacia now in full motion, the team has once again released a brand-new cinematic set in the League of Legends universe.

With the new year around, Riot Games likes to celebrate an event called the Lunar Revel, based around the Chinese New Year. With each return, the famous Firecracker skin line makes a comeback, introducing new champions to it and celebrating the year's animal.

For the Year of the Horse, Riot Games has obviously chosen the only right answer: Lillia (ignore anyone saying it should've been Hecarim). To celebrate the new skins and the event, a new YouTube cinematic in the official League of Legends channel launched, called "Old Friends, New Bloom | Lunar Revel 2026 Cinematic - League of Legends".
