League of Legends Releases New Meta Game for 2026 Season 1 Act 1: For Demacia
The new year is officially in motion, and League of Legends is fully embracing Demacia for the beginning of the season. In the latest patch, Riot Games released a brand-new meta game for players to partake in, offering them the opportunity to experience the evolution of the kingdom as we know it.
Demacia Rising has players taking on the role of Luxanna Crownguard (best known as the champion Lux) as she learns about politics, military strategy, and ruling from her aunt, Tianna Crownguard. In this city-building meta game, players will see Demacia grow from its original settlement, slowly working their way up to making it the modern-day petricite fortress.
The new meta game is going to be a bit different from the others that have been released thus far. In terms of pacing, the game will be drip-fed throughout the Season, offering new content updates and revealing more for everyone to partake in at the same time — much like Jinx Fixes Everything.
To alleviate the issues with having to dedicate too much time, Demacia Rising also autosaves consistently, meaning you can play for as long or little as you like. However, those who choose to engage with the game more will be awarded with higher amounts of Battle Pass XP to progress towards getting the Demacian-themed rewards.
If you're interested in checking it out, don't miss out on playing Demacia Rising, which will be available until the 4th of March. After this point, though it won't be available via the in-game client, the community-ran meta games website should offer it.
