Maelstrom Attempts a Battle Royale at Sea

Maelstrom delivers a tactical naval combat experience complete with natural disasters, explosions, and giant sea monsters. Keeping your ship afloat and collecting loot is the ultimate goal, all while ensuring your opponents get obliterated by the Kraken. Maelstrom takes full advantage of Unreal Engine 4 and allows players to discover unique ways to customize their ship and wage war on the seven seas. In battle, you can ram other ships, board them directly, shoot cannonballs, or chip away at their armor. A refined physics engine ensures your attacks are as realistic as possible. All in all, Maelstrom actually becomes an evolution of the battle royale genre through a “last man standing” approach backed by innovative gameplay.

Maelstrom is in Steam early access and hopes to release a single-player campaign, more multiplayer maps, and various customization features in the near future.
