Magic: Legends - PC Open Beta Dates Announced
The 23rd March has been confirmed as the launch date for the open beta of Magic: Legends' on PC.
While this open beta is PC-exclusive, the game will eventually be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 when its full release hits later this year. Interestingly, this title, belonging to the action RPG genre, departs from what players would expect from a Magic: The Gathering videogame tie-in. Developer Cryptic Studios has worked to translate the card-based game to a free-to-play hack-and-slash format featuring a persistent game world and enough loot to make even the most seasoned adventurer quiver in delight.
So it's a Diablo-esque action RPG at heart, but that doesn't mean Magic: Legends has completely forgotten its trading card roots. Check out the in-depth video above for a look at how deckbuilding plays a role in the upcoming game.
The open beta for Magic: Legends launches on PC on the 23rd March, with a full release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC scheduled for later this year.

This looks pretty interesting. There's not been a story-based MTG game since the PS1 days but there's a lot of fascinating lore to draw from in the game so I hope this is good!
