Magicka: Wizards of the Square Tablet Available on iPhone and Novel Released

Paradox Interactive, a publisher of games that get great reception, today released Magicka: Wizards of the Square Tablet for the Apple iPhone. Magicka: Wizards of the Square Tablet, the 2D iOS/Android adaptation of best-spelling game Magicka, was released on tablets in early 2013, and made available on PC in slightly later 2013. Today, in fairly late 2013, the game has been updated to function as a universal app for iOS, allowing it to run on iPhone devices. Paradox would like to remind players that having a ‘smart’ phone will not prevent you from accidentally immolating your entire wizarding party.

Developed by Ludosity, Magicka: Wizards of the Square Tablet features the iconic elemental spellcasting of Magicka, realized in a new 2D art style alongside a unique story. The game campaign can be played in single-player or cross-platform multiplayer, now allowing the iPhone version to jump into games with iPads, Androids, and PCs. Magicka: Wizards of the Square Tablet is compatible with iOS 7. Additional Android devices have also had support enabled as of today.

MWOTST 2

The world of Magicka is also coming to handheld devices in non-game form: Paradox Books is publishing a new Magicka Novel, Magicka: The Ninth Element. Written by Dan McGirt, Magicka: The Ninth Element follows a group of four inexperienced wizards, using the eight elements of spellcasting on a quest to chase down rumors of an all-powerful ninth element – one that may hold the key to ultimate power. At least, it might. No promises. But it could.
