Manor Lords Releases Major Update #6 Out Now on Steam

Developer Slavic Magic and publisher Hooded Horse's Manor Lordswas one of 2024's Early Access darlings. In a year where plenty of strong releases were coming into their Early Access titles, with games such as Palworld and Enshrouded released, Manor Lords took its fair share of the pie with impressive graphics and enjoyable mediaeval city-building elements.

Now, nearing its second year of Early Access development, Manor Lords has released its sixth major content update, inviting players to experience more of the gameplay with brand-new mechanics and elements. There are a few new major additions to the game, reworking some of the progression systems and bringing new content, and a lot of minor changes in terms of balance, character AI, and more.

Among the major changes, a new Burgage Plot Level was introduced, now dubbed as Burgage Plot Level 3, and the aesthetic, requirements, and effects of the previous third one have now been pushed to become Burgage Plot Level 4. Some of the major content updates focus on this system, including new requirements to unlock extensions and increased Living Space based on the Burgage Plot Level.

Other additions were to Families and their progression, a brand-new map named the Twin Lakes, and Battlefield changes. The latter changes upgrade some of the difficulties with Battlefield management, as all squads inside an active Battlefield will now always be visible, whereas the Battlefield itself will gradually shrink from the beginning of combat.

These are some of the changes for Version 0.8.050 and 0.8.065, but minor changes are among the hundreds. Including optimisation, better AI, a lot of bugfixes, balance changes, and more, it's a pretty substantial patch for many elements.
