Mexican Ninja Releases Way of the Donkey Gameplay Trailer

Developer Madbricks and publisher Amber Studios are proud to show off the latest title in their upcoming beat-em-up roguelike title, Mexican Ninja. Taking place in Nuevo-Tokyo, players will have to fight back against the Narzuka clan to free it from the criminal syndicate.

The title was announced four months ago in July and shown off again during the MIX Fall Game Showcase 2025, but this time, a brand-new trailer has dropped for those who are excited about the title. The gameplay trailer shows off some of the beat-'em-up gameplay elements and introduces players to three new bosses that they'll need to fight, including Crack Panda.

Mexican Ninja puts its unhinged comedic humour on full display in the 1:30-long trailer. From flinging your hat to fighting all sorts of foes, it's a great look at the shenanigans that await the titular character.

If you're interested in trying out the game, it has a demo available. If you've already played it and want to see more, you might want to revisit it, as it's received a universal parry, Crack Panda (shown off in the trailer), better balancing, and more! You can find it on Steam.

Here's what Dario Hoyo, the Creative Director over at the developing studio Madbricks, had to say about the update and the addition of the parrying element.

This update is about making every decision feel sharp. Parrying everything raises the ceiling for mastery, the panda boss tests your nerve, and the tweaked rewards keep runs snappy and satisfying. We want players to feel that rhythm: learn a tell, snap the parry, cash a mini-upgrade, and ride that momentum with a new Jutsu.

Mexican Ninja is available for wishlist right now, with an expected release during Q1 2026!
