Mobile Games Out This Week: 20/1/17

We spend all week scrounging around for cool new iOS and Android game releases. Then, every Friday, we put together a list of them to share with you. How awesome is that?

Hint: it’s pretty awesome.

Become the coolest squirrel ever as you work to save your poor kidnapped dad from the evil Mad King Mac. Red's Kingdom is an adventure/puzzle hybrid with a wide world full of puzzles to solve and secrets to find.

It's evident from both the name and the 8-bit pixel art that Z-Exemplar is an ode to old-school shoot em' ups. This one is a side-scroller with a whopping 960 planets to blast through, plus 21 different weapons.

Sky Dancing is the newest — and probably the most dangerous — sport on the block. This gorgeous runner features simple controls, five unique characters, and plenty of unique challenges designed to test your skills.

 

Polywarp (iOS, Android)

Polywarp is a fast-paced game that requires you to match shapes before they reach the center. It's a visual overload that takes rapidly flashing colours to a new level, but that's part of the charm — as long as your eyes can handle it.

 

WarFriends (iOS, Android)

WarFriends is a PVP game about taking your friends to war and attempting to crush them in tactical 3D combat. You can build your own unique army, collect and deploy WarCards for unique perks, and even play cooperatively in an additional mode.
