Monster Hunter Outlanders Opens Sign-ups for Second Closed Beta Test

Capcom announced the authentic Monster Hunter experience coming to mobile nearly two years ago, back in November 2024. At the time, we had some information about the title, but it was mostly a cinematic trailer showcasing the potential of an experience set in mobile devices.

Now, Monster Hunter Outlanders is slowly nearing its launch, as the pre-registration event has been open already, with a goal for 20 million pre-registrations to attain some unique items (and the 10 million goal being Adventurer Raya). While there's still no official release date for Monster Hunter Outlanders just yet, Capcom has released a brand-new trailer inviting players to check out the beta test.

This two-minute trailer gives us a look at the graphics of the game, including the open-world setting that players will be able to engage with and some of the monsters they'll be able to fight. It's a pretty comprehensive look at the traversal and gameplay, and it's an exciting opportunity for eager monster hunters to check out the experience first-hand.

The registration opened on the 1st of April, though it's certainly not an April Fools' prank. You can follow this link to sign up for the test. It's worth noting that this closed beta will feature a data wipe, meaning that the content will not carry over to the official release. However, participants will be able to earn exclusive rewards for partaking.

Those who want to join the beta should know that it's limited to Android devices with Snapdragon 845 (Android 12) or higher, and iPhone XR (iOS 17) or newer. It's all part of an agreement before the quiz, which asks several questions of the user before finally submitting the application.
