New Battlefield V Trailer Indicates WW2 Setting

EA is set to reveal the full details for Battlefield V live on 23rd May, but it has this week released another short (very short, in fact) teaser trailer.

It seems to confirm the very many rumours that DICE will be returning to World War II, the first time since Battlefield 1943 in 2009. It follows on from Battlefield 1 in 2016, which covered the First World War 1. Yes, the numbering makes no sense...

The clue for the setting is given in the video above - you can see the British Union Jack alongside the German Iron Cross, in what appears to be in a game of Conquest.

Other titbits we can make out is a health bar at the bottom, along with a minimalist style HUD with smaller icons on the left for the squad, along with the weapon details on the right.

We'll expect more details after the live reveal on 23rd May, hosted by Trevor Noah. That should be entertaining.
