New SMITE Spin-off teased on Twitter
Brian "LionHeart" Greyson, Vice President and General Manager of Hi-Rez Studios, dropped a tweet with nothing more than the picture below with the text "What the hell is SMITE Rivals" ?
With nothing else to go on, speculation is all over the place. The default assumption is that it's going to be a new SMITE based game, most likely for mobile as SMITE Tactics was announced fairly recently, though ideas like a competitive companion app or a comic fleshing out the lore of the game have been mentioned as well.
Based off of the timing and Hi-Rez' history of teasing the community, you can expect more teasers coming in the next couple of weeks, with an official announcement during HRX (Hi-Rez Expo) early January next year.
