New Temtem Trailer Shows Off Gameplay Systems and Unique End Game Content

Upcoming creature-collecting MMO Temtem wears its Pokémon influence on its sleeve. No longer will Nintendo fans be the only ones to enjoy the colourful monster breeding and turn-based battling gameplay of Gamefreak's series: Crema and Humble Bundle are bringing the spirit of Pokémon to PC while giving it a unique MMO twist.

The game's latest trailer (found above) should satisfy the appetites of players raring to dig deep into Temtem's gameplay. In it, Crema shows off the stamina and synergy systems of the game's 2v2 battles. The studio also highlights Luma Temtem in this trailer, these creatures are rarer versions of the game's regular Temtem with higher stats; more Luma Temtem can be found in the world's newly unveiled End Game area alongside more powerful foes to battle. Creature breeding is touched upon too. Thankfully, there'll be no randomness: players will know exactly what the result of breeding will be beforehand.

There's a lot more to Temtem than a few interesting gameplay mechanics however. When it launches in Early Access on 21 January, players will have access to a 20+ hour campaign spread across three explorable islands that can be played entirely with friends. Along the way, there'll be 76 Temtem to catch, collect and trade in addition to the special Luma Temtem. Of course, being an MMO, Temtem also features PvP combat so players can contest friends and settle scores with enemies on the turn-based battlefield.

In future updates, the amount of Temtem available, the length of the campaign and the amount of islands to explore are all set to double. Not only this, but the game will also see ranked PvP, Mythical Temtem, player housing and an array of special events. Temtem looks to have an exciting future ahead of it and Crema want players to get in on the ground floor.

Temtem launches in Early Access 21 January exclusively for PC.
