Obey the Insect God Shares Official Launch Trailer

Charles Davis and his team over at Chunkle Freaky's Movies Games are gearing up to release Obey the Insect God. This bizarre 2D platformer is inspired by retro titles from the '90s, but it comes with a modern twist that makes it stand out among the others.

Obey the Insect God's characters are all created from footage of the actors, playing their respective characters and taking inspiration from digitised arcade fighters. Inspired by the Finnish epic "The Kalevala", players will descend into the labyrinth, uncover the lair, and handle cryptic puzzles, all while trying to uncover the truth about the Insect God.

The whole narrative is acted and voice-acted by the various actors, offering an immersive and nuanced take, bringing a refreshing change of pace to videogames and innovation as a whole.
