Paladins: Battlegrounds Annouced

Paladins: Champions of the Realm is getting a new mode and its coming in the form of a 100 player battle royale mode. 

Announced at the Hi-Rez Expo 2018, the new mode called Paladins: Battlegrounds will see 100 players dropped into a large map, with fog slowly closing in, as they battle to be the last one standing. Much like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, this new mode will see bombs dropping randomly on zones across the map. What will make Paladins: Battlegrounds standout is it's line up of champions each with their own abilities and weapons. Mounts will also be usable in Paladins: Battlegrounds. 

Not many other details are available at this moment but the above trailer gives a small cinematic taste of what the experience might be like. With so many different characters developer Hi-Rez will have their work cut out for them with balancing the new mode but only time will tell. Paladins: Battlegrounds is expected to hit beta in the coming months. 

Paladins: Champions of the Realm is available to play for free now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
