Palia — When the Twitch Drops are Coming and How to Claim Them

Palia is making waves across the gaming industry by first arriving in Open Beta to testers a couple of months back, then joining the Epic Games store, and finally releasing on the Nintendo Switch. To celebrate that latest accomplishment, Singularity 6 announced upcoming Palia Twitch Drops, where you'll be able to get five cute rewards over a certain period!

The Twitch Drops event starts on the 14th of December, where you'll be able to get two items: a Palcat rug and a Palcat Plush. You'll get the first after watching an hour of Twitch-drop-enabled streams, whilst the second will take a total of 2.5 hours to get. These drops are considered the "first wave", lasting from the release time all the way until the 21st of December, a week after release.

The second drop, then, consists of three total items. It's not entirely clear what these ones are (they are still Palcat-themed!), but you'll get cute sunglasses after the final one, so it's a no-brainer regardless. Youll get your first reward after watching one hour, then the second after watching 2.5 hours, and the final one — the Palcat sunglasses — will be after 3.5 hours of watching. These will also be eligible for a week from the 22nd of December until the 29th of December.

These Twitch Drop rewards are going to be limited for that period, after which point they will be put away in what the blog post calls "Palian vault". They might make a return at a future date (with the first wave seemingly confirmed to return sometime in the future), but the second set isn't as confident about its return. So if you want them, don't miss out on your opportunity to watch some Palia streams.

How to claim your Twitch Drops

In order to get these drops, you'll need to have connected your Twitch account to your Palia account by heading over to the official website, going into the settings, and then going into Account Connections. From there, you'll want to link your Twitch account to your Palia one.

After you've done that, you can watch any of the eligible streamers (they should have the tag "Drops Enabled") and wait until you get a notification to claim your rewards on Twitch. Once you do, you can click redeem and you should see it reflected on your account. It's worth noting that muting the stream from the video player might disable the rewards timer, so if you want to run it in the background while you play some Palia yourself, you'll want to mute the browser tab instead.
