Palworld's Latest Update Adds Crossplay, Global Palbox, and More; Watch the Trailer!

Palworld is an open-world creature-collecting survival game, developed and published by Pocketpair, where players get to farm, build, and even fight alongside their monsters (named Pals in-game). At the time of writing, the title has amassed a whopping 315,667 reviews on Steam, bordering Overwhelmingly Positive with a 94% Very Positive score.

So you might be wondering, what's new in the latest update (v0.5.0)?

• Crossplay is now available (people can play with friends on all platforms).
• Global Palbox: store and transfer Pals between worlds.
• A new storage system, named Dimensional Pal Storage, can store up to 10 times more capacity than a regular Palbox; depending on the privacy settings, it can be used as personal storage or accessed by guild members.
• Using the Antique Dresser, players can now change their armour's appearance without altering stats.
• Photo mode.
• Drafting Table: combine low-rarity blueprints to earn a higher rarity one.
• Dedicated servers for Mac.
• New achievements have been added.

In addition to the new features, there are also some quality-of-life improvements:

• Buildings can now be placed if a Pal is overlapping.
• Foundations and roofs will automatically align in the same direction when being connected.
• Using an Ice Pal on the Flea Market will help slow down the decay of items in storage and sales.
• Torches have been added to the entrances of dungeons to improve visibility.
• Chairs and cushions can now be used to sit.
• Some weapons that deal serious damage to trees will no longer drop items when destroyed.
• New NPCs.
• NPC behaviour has been improved during conversations.
• Favourites can now be categorised into Favourite 1-3 groups.
• Holding the + or - button in Pal Soul Enhancement will now continuously decrease or increase values.
• There's now an "Extra Large" text size option.
• Fullscreen Mode is now available.
