Paradox Interactive Celebrates Cities: Skylines Franchise 11-year Anniversary with A Month Full of Updates for Both Games

This month, the Cities: Skylines franchise will be turning 11, making it over a decade old. To celebrate the occasion, Paradox Interactive is working with both development teams, Tantalus Media and Iceflake Studios, to bring updates to the titles.

March is going to be a content-packed month for both games, as Cities: Skylines and Cities: Skylines II will be receiving new updates, DLC, and more. The upcoming roadmap shares various updates spread across several days, offering new DLC and content for players to engage with.

What's more, all of the upcoming DLCs have dedicated trailers for players to check out. We'll talk about the individual news pieces below, but you can find the trailers above if you prefer a visual approach.

Here's everything we know about the March 2026 roadmap for Cities: Skylines:

  • 5th of March:Cities: Skylines starts off March from the 5th of the month, bringing the first title as a free-to-play weekend. This will also release with the Cities: Skylines Anniversary Bundle, available for a limited time only.
  • 10th of March: After the free weekend ends, the first title — Cities: Skylines — will receive three DLC. These are comprised of Cities: Skylines - Race Day, Cities: Skylines - Content Creator Pack: Iconic Brutalism, and Cities: Skylines - Content Creator Pack: Renewed History.
  • 18th of March: On the 18th, Cities: Skylines II joins in with four DLC, including two Content Creator Packs and two radio stations. These are Cities: Skylines II - Skyrail Radio, Cities: Skylines II - Smooth Vibes FM, Cities: Skylines II - Creator Pack - Office Evolution, and Cities: Skylines II - Creator Pack: City Stations.
  • 19th of March: Finally, to close off the month of releases, Cities: Skylines II is going to get a limited-time anniversary bundle.

For those who want to start celebrating right now, Paradox Interactive also released Steam community items to decorate the Steam profile.
