Phantom: Covert Ops - Release Date Unveiled in Latest Development Update
A development update for nDreams' Oculus-exclusive VR shooter, Phantom: Covert Ops has been released. In it, the studio outlines what features the last few months of work have added and states a firm release date of 25th June for the Oculus Rift and Oculus Quest version of the game.

Despite its generic name, Phantom: Covert Ops is far from typical in its execution. Instead of running-and-gunning, players will find themselves gliding-and-gunning as they infiltrate hostile bases and facilities from the confines of a sleek, tactical kayak—armed with gadgets, guns and stealth equipment.

In the last few months, nDreams has worked to improve the overall experience on three primary fronts: 'Campaign', 'Additional Modes' and the 'Oculus Platform'.
Campaign
- Additional and improved cinematics.
- Greater enemy variety.
- New weapons.
- More in-game interactions.
- Added stealth tools.
Additional Modes
- Challenge Maps.
- Freeplay Mode.
- Cheat Library.
- Multiple Difficulties.
Oculus Platform
- Quest/Rift Cross-Save Support.
- Oculus Link Support.
- Online Leaderboards.
- Unlockable Achievements.
More information regarding these additions and improvements have been promised in the near-future.
Phantom: Covert Ops will release for Oculus Quest and Rift on 25th June.
