Kyoto-based developer Q-Games has been teasing some big news over on Twitter for the past few days and the news has finally arrived: a Kickstarter campaign to help fund PixelJunk Monsters Duo has been announced and it'll be coming to iOS and Android devices next year. Praise the Tiki Lord!
Originally released in 2008 on PSP and PS3 (and later arriving on PC, Wii U and PS Vita), the loveable tower-defence series has been the gold standard in the underappreciated tower-defence genre. Essentially, it's a tower-defence classic that oozes charm and incredibly addicting gameplay. Its couch co-op is also second to none, too.
Though this release will be targeting iOS and Android platforms, we're hoping that this version will be ported over to PS4, Switch or Xbox One in the future -- it just seems like a no-brainer, as fans of the series will be ecstatic to play a new iteration in this venerable tower-defence series on their current generation consoles. There is, however, no confirmation of this yet.
