Shown off in a series of screenshots new foggy weather really adds a new level of immersion into the game. With a reduced visual range players will need to pay more attention and be more aware of their surroundings.

Of course in first-person-only servers this will be even more important. Should you find yourself a fan of silenced weapons then the new fog feature might very well be your friend, aiding in the element of surprise over scared players. 

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently available for PC in early access and is currently the most popular game on steam, surpassing even Dota 2 in concurrent players.
