Pokemon GO Fest Confirmed for July

Niantic, developer and publisher of 2016's hit Pokemon GO has announced two new, real-life events for the mobile game.

Scheduled to be held at Lincoln Park in Chicago, IL as opposed to last years event which took place at Grant Park.  Niantic is hoping that a change in venue will increase the overall quality of the event which was criticized for underwhelming results and prompted an official response from Niantic.  This year's event is scheduled to run 14 July 2018 thru 15 July 2018 with tickets costing $20 for single day passes.

Also announced for the Safari Zone event in Dortmund, Germany.  This event runs 30 June 2018 thru 1 July 2018 and will be hosted in Westfalenpark.  An additional event in Yokosuka, Japan was also mentioned for Summer but does not have a specific event date.
