Pokémon Go Players Unlock Farfetch'd in Just Six Days
Pokémon Go recently put forward the Global Catch Challenge event to give players a catch to unlock the Japan-exclusive Farfetch'd.
In the space of six days the community worked together to catch Pokémon and hit a number of different goals that the challenge had set. If players hit the 500 million point, they unlocked a few items to increase XP and Lure Pokémon to them. At 1.5 billion caught the reward included some Stardust items and "even more" Pokémon appearing. Now, at the 3 billion mark players get all that plus they have unlocked, worldwide, Farfetch'd.

This means that for the next 48 hours players will be available to catch themselves this Japan-exclusive Pokémon and get to see plenty of others showing up as well. Considering 3 billion Pokémon were caught in just six days I think it is fair to say that Pokémon Go is still very popular.
