poncle Announces Public Demo For Upcoming Roguelike Deckbuilder

Last year in November, poncle announced the newest upcoming title, called Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors (succinct, we know). It's the first spin-off to the team's genre-birthing debut title, as the team looks to join the roguelite deckbuilding sphere.

It's a bold move to join such an oversaturated genre, but it's a welcome one from the studio that created an entire genre with Vampire Survivors. To say it's a highly anticipated title would be a bit of an understatement, as it carries 8,333 Followers and sits in the 213th spot on Top Wishlists, with over 200,000 currently.

Vampire Crawlers is going to be opening its doors to everyone at the upcoming Steam Next Fest, the first of 2026. Players all around the world will be able to try it out for free on the 23rd of February, and the Steam news post announces that there will be an option to carry the progress over to the full game.

One interesting thing about this announcement is that the demo will also be arriving on Xbox, which means that though it's debuting on the Steam Next Fest, it might remain after the fact for a while longer. While we don't know the actual release date for the game (set as "To be announced"), the fact that the option to carry your progress is available, it might be reasonable to think that it's not too far away.

If you're interested in the title, make sure to give it a shot for free when Steam Next Fest come around. Afterwards, the full launch will be available on Steam, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5, with a release on mobile planned afterwards.
