PS Plus' Titles for August Revealed

PS Plus' Titles for August Revealed

Sony have revealed August's lineup of PlayStation Plus titles and it definitely runs the gamut of genres this time around. From space combat and mission running in Rebel Galaxy to the drum-based rhythm action of the adorable Patapon 3 it covers a lot of bases. Onto the games!

  • Tricky Towers (PS4)
  • Rebel Galaxy (PS4)
  • Yakuza 5 (PS3)
  • Retro/Grade (PS3)
  • Patapon 3 (PS Vita)
  • Ultratron (PS3, PS4 and PS Vita)

Yakuza 5 is arguably the big headline title of this batch; continuing the popular series' adventures with five main protagonists this time around, whilst Rebel Galaxy sends you across space in an open-ended western-themed adventure where you can trade or just blast folk out the sky.

Puppy Games' Robotron-inspired Ultratron comes to all three platforms bringing arcade twin-stick blasting fun to everyone. The adorable Patapon 3 continues the cute drum-based rhythm strategy action the series is known for.

Tricky Towers and Retro/Grade round out the selection, with Tricky Towers being a tower building puzzle game and Retro/Grade being a clever shooter where you basically start with the final boss dying and have to un-fire bullets and reverse all your normal actions as time flows backwards!

As usual, once applied to your account you can re-download these titles as long as you have an active PlayStation Plus membership.

Be sure to grab last month's titles before they get replaced in the first week of August.

I've almost bought Rebel Galaxy about 5 times on PS4!

I did actually buy it during the GOG Sale... But I've also wanted it on PS4, so...

Well, now you've bought it for the price you would have on PS4... So, win -- win?!

Rebel Galaxy is a really good game, glad a lot more folk get to give it a look! It really has a unique style of its own.

Really awesome that the insanity that is the Yakuza series being in too. I really need to get to those! Also Patapon is equal parts adorable and great fun. Not a bad month all things considered.
