Ride the Steampunk Streets in Steel Rats

Although Steel Rats isn’t primarily story-driven, the game’s arcade combat is nicely supplemented by a general backstory and character-specific lore. The four main characters in Steel Rats are introduced with both cutscenes and actual gameplay footage in this “story” trailer. Taking place in a 1950s steampunk universe, a biker gang named the Steel Rats must save the world from a robot invasion. Together they ride through the city, performing death-defying stunts and blasting away enemies.

Steel Rats has already received several awards for evidently being an excellent indie game, and will fully release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.
