Rise: Race The Future Gets a Turbo-Charged Update on Switch
The Switch version of fast-paced futuristic racer Rise: Race The Future has just received a significant update. The latest version of the game, version 1.6, has been revamped with an all-new rendering engine, allowing for 60 FPS gameplay while improving the graphics. Additionally, the game now boasts improved vehicle handling and a local two-player multiplayer mode.
Now, players can drift, slide and boost with an all-new sense of control and a friend by their side—and look better than ever while doing it. Check out the game's two-player mode in the trailer above.
Set in a world in which futuristic racing cars have given rise to a new style of racing, "precision drifting", Rise: Race The Future sees players taking to wide, branching race tracks which blend natural environments with distinctly sci-fi features. Race in 64 challenges across eight championships, unlocking new vehicles and cosmetic options along the way. It's a breakneck racer in the vein of the classic F-Zero, and it's one that any arcade racing fan would do well to check out.
Rise: Race The Future version 1.6 is out now on the Switch.
