Rollercoaster Tycoon World now Available

After ten years in the wilderness, the Rollercoaster Tycoon franchise is back with the latest entry, RollerCoaster Tycoon World released on Steam's Early Access program today. Atari are bringing the series back, screaming into 2016 with next gen features including new building tools and Steam Workshop support for User Generated Content.

The game is available on Steam now for £29.99 or £44.99 for a deluxe edition. Users opting for the latter will receive additional bonus contents, this includes two additional Maps, a zipper ride, a golden park entrance, an additional panda mascot and a Digital Art Book. Users buying either edition in Early Release will get five special skins for the "peeps" who will be riding their coaster creations at launch.

Atari have been working with a select few community members on the game in secret for some time now, but they want to extend that to they entire community. This means that content upgrades and additional features will be largely shaped by the feedback of Early Access testers. You can see full details of the game on its Steam page, where it is available to purchase and play right away.

“The RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise is beloved by millions of fans worldwide, which is something we take very seriously. After careful consideration, the decision to go through the Steam Early Access program was made to ensure that we can get RollerCoaster Tycoon World in the hands of the dedicated fans that have followed us throughout the development process as soon as possible,” said Fred Chesnais, Chief Executive Officer, Atari. “As passionate RollerCoaster Tycoon fans ourselves, we look forward to working with our community and those new to the series on how we can make RollerCoaster Tycoon World the best theme park simulation game possible. Early Access allows us to openly communicate with fans about upcoming content and features and the community will help us shape our roadmap.”
