Rovio Stars' Word Monsters Launch Trailer

Rovio, known for the lucrative Angry Birds series, have opened a studio to publish games.  The first such game is Word Monsters from studio Raketspel, available on iTunes now for free.  An Android version is coming soon.

The object of the game is to play against your friends, strangers or solo to clear a level of every word in an almost reverse Tetris-like manner.  You can customise your monster in various ways, to use as your avatar in the fight for the high score.

The game is available in the following languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Finnish, Swedish, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese.  The topics for the levels cover such categories as 80's Hits, Beverages and Cities.

It being free means in-app purchases.  Here's the list of them:

Cookies are used to buy power ups, such as hints, and coins are used to start new levels.
