Saints Row 4 getting Standalone Expansion and PS4 and Xbox One Release

At PAX 2014 Volition have announced that their over the top, wacky sandbox action game Saints Row IV will be getting a standalone expansion. Not quite what we expected, but welcome just the same.

The new expansion titled Gat Out of Hell will have you play as Johnny Gat, entering a gateway to Hell to rescue the President, boss of the Saints (protagonist of previous games), fighting your way using new powers and the ability to fly around the city of Hell using demonic wings. The expansion will also feature two-player co-op where one player takes control of Gat and other as Kinsey Kensington.

During the PAX event it was also announced that Saints Row 4 will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January 2015. The new version of the game titled Saints Row 4: Re-elected will have all the previously released DLC and like all other next- gen releases will have improved and updated graphics.

Both Saints Row 4: Re-Elected and Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell will be available January 27th 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
