Samurai Warriors 5 Revealed in Nintendo Direct

Samurai Warriors 5, the next instalment in the Samurai Warriors franchise was revealed in yesterday's Nintendo Direct, set for release in summer 2021 for Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.  Check out the reveal trailer above for a look at the game's Sengoku period setting and characters, as well as that hectic musou action of course!

Samurai Warriors 5 will serve as a revamp for the series, which is in itself a spinoff from the Dynasty Warriors franchise. Featuring new character designs and a bold new visual style, this can be seen as something of a new direction for the franchise, even if the core gameplay looks to remain largely unchanged.

Samurai Warriors 5 will release in summer 2021 for the Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
