SEGA has announced that re-releases of the first two Shenmue games will release on current generation consoles later this year.
The action-adventure series was previously exclusive to the Dreamcast and Microsoft Xbox, but will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC ahead of the release of Shenmue III sometime in 2018. The re-release will stay true to the originals with modernised features including a higher screen resolution, a choice between modern or classic control schemes, an updated user interface, the option to enjoy either the original Japanese or English voiceovers, as well as graphical options on the PC.
SEGA promises this will be the "the definitive version of these all-time classics and will be the best Shenmue experience to date." They will also be available in both physical and digital forms. Watch the trailer above.
