Shantae and the Seven Sirens Announced for PC and Consoles

Originally an Apple Arcade exclusive, WayForward's Shantae and the Seven Sirens has finally been given a PC and console release date of 28th May. When it releases on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, players will be able to experience the full platforming adventure of Shantae as she explores an interconnected world, making  "Half-Genie" friends and learning new magical dance moves along the way. Check out some gameplay snippets in the release date trailer above.

On top of this, the Apple Arcade version of the game has just been updated with 'Part Two' of the story for free. This means that the full Seven Sirens experience is available now for Apple Arcade subscribers. The whole game has also been updated with new, fully-animated cinematics; more dungeons, enemies and powers; improved controls; and various bug-fixes.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens has pulled from the four previous series entries to create an expansive platformer that dwarfs its predecessors. The titular Half-Genie will uncover perilous underground secrets beneath a lush, non-linear tropical paradise. On Shantae's journey, the powers at her disposal will expand ever-further; she'll learn to transform into creatures of all shapes and sizes.

For the first time in the series' 18 year history, Seven Sirens features fully-animated cutscenes from the talent at Studio TRIGGER —bringing Shantae's world to life like never before.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens releases on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Switch 28th May. Apple Arcade subscribers can download the entire game now.
