SOMA Flying off Virtual Shelves

SOMA Flying off Virtual Shelves

Frictional Games' indie blockbuster SOMA is closing in on the company's target of 100k sales in its first month with sales of 92,000 across its first ten days. The Sci-Fi horror game has proved a massive hit with gamers and they've been purchasing in droves. To put the number in some context, the studio's first game Amnesia: The Dark Descent sold 30,000 copies in the same post-launch time frame.

The figures were released on the company's official blog, where the developer Thomas KL also discusses a number of other post-sale issues. He covers his hopes for future sales and future projects as well as the reduction in piracy he's seen for this title compared to others and the universally positive reception that he's been seeing for the game.

SOMA is available now on Windows, Mac via Steam, GOG and Humble Store as well as PS4 via the PSN Store. Lookout for our full review on GameGrin soon.
