Sonic Lost World Races to PC

Sonic Lost World Races to PC

Sonic Lost World came out at the back end of 2013 for the WiiU and 3DS systems, but worry not if you missed it. SEGA have announced that the game is being ported to the PC, and will be available next month.

In case you missed it, Lost World focussed on the titular hero in his fight against The Deadly Six, aliens intent on stealing the energy from the Lost Hex, which is where the game is set. It will ship with many additional features including full controller support, Steam achievements, cloud saves, widescreen and high resolution options. It will also feature the "Nightmare" DLC, so you get the complete package.

It was met with mixed reviews upon it's initial release, as seems to be the case with the majority of 3D Sonic games, so it's unclear as to why they decided to port it. There is however a nice incentive to check the game out, as anyone who pre-orders Sonic Lost World at participating digital retailers will receive Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for free. The racing spin-off received positive reviews in general, and is held in high regard by many gamers.

SEGA also mentioned that this isn't the only port you'll be seeing in the coming months. John Clark, Vice President of Commercial Publishing for SEGA Europe said that Lost World is “the latest in a string of high quality PC ports of past SEGA titles that we will be building on in the coming months and years.” So if you're a fan of the little blue guy, keep your eyes open for announcements.

Sonic Lost World is due to release for the PC on November 2nd, for £19.99.

This is awesome news. Now I don't have to get it on 3DS.
