SoulQuest Releases Update 1.1.3, Bringing a Highly Requested Feature

SoulBlade Studio LLC's Tomas J Pereyra, alongside publisher indie.io, released SoulQuest this month, on the 1st of May 2026. This Kickstarted game, inspired by Devil May Cry, is a spectacle fighter hack and slash, borrowing the ranking system from its inspiration and bringing it to a 2D world.

It's been a great take-off for SoulQuest, as the title slowly reaches its 100th review just three weeks after its launch. Perhaps more exciting is seeing how engaged and proactive the developer has been with the experience ever since the launch, bringing all sorts of updates to increase the experience's enjoyment for everyone.

After adding some massive changes, like following feedback from the community and adding an option to disable platforming hazards, SoulQuest set its eyes on collaborations and upcoming content. As a hack-and-slash experience full of epic abilities, it only made sense for players to want to enjoy the strongest element of the game in a gauntlet of sorts.

While the Arena already exists, the newest addition brings forth a Boss Rush mode, giving players some additional content to enjoy past rolling the credits. Comprised of several stages and various bosses, SoulQuest invites eager players wanting more to come back and battle all of the bosses in a gauntlet, back-to-back, with no breaks.

It's a highly requested feature in a lot of titles, and a no-brainer in SoulQuest as a whole. With the enjoyable fighting system and several difficulties, players want to limit test and push themselves beyond, learning every little detail and memorising vast combos to maximise their style points, damage, and time.

If you're interested in checking out SoulQuest, you can do so for £15.99 on PC via Steam.
