Spy VR Game Spymaster Announces Early Access Release Date

InnerspaceVR has announced the upcoming Early Access release for Spymaster. This title has players taking on the role of NODE agents, elite operatives stopping impending doom from the clutches of giant surveillance.

VR and detective titles go hand-in-hand, commonly inviting players to embark on missions and complete epic tasks. Whether it be espionage, infiltration, or using cool gadgets, it's become a genre that's been closely associated with VR.

For Spymaster, players will be taking on the role of three operatives using a unique device called C.A.S.S.E.T.T.E. — this item allows agents to go back in time and save the day, using only their watch. Mixxing action-packed sequences with puzzle-solving and time-travelling, players will have to complete various dynamic missions to prevent doom.

The Game Director for Spymaster, Jeremy Moirano, had this to say about the upcoming launch:

It all started with a native VR experiment: recording organic avatar actions. We were actually using this technique for animation placeholders long before The Last Clockwinder hit the scene. That seed grew into a core mechanic—assisting your past self to solve puzzles. As we refined the recording system, we focused on making every action feel 'juicy' and tactile, naturally evolving the game into the high-stakes spy thriller you see today.

Complete main missions, partake in various challenges, and save the world one quest at a time. Spymaster is set to release on Steam Early Access and Meta Quest on the 7th of May 2026.
